I would recommend this product. It took about 4-5 days to get here but it worked really well. As other customers have done I actually tried feeding it to carpenter ants outside and inside the house and let them take it back to the nest. Dont kill them. In about a 10 days they have disappeared and other applications were not working. The gel does seem to dry after a day and become less attractive to the ants to eat . SO i reapplied in certain key areas. The ants do love to eat the stuff when its liquid and get all drunk and intoxicated so much im not even sure they can make it back to the colony to kill the queen. Hope it works for you because carpenter ants were such a pain. I could not find the nest . Hopefully it was 50 yds from the house.
