d-CON No View Mouse Traps

d-CON No View Mouse Traps Review

I drove into my garage one evening and shut the door. I stayed in the car to finish typing up an email on my PDA, and that's when I heard some rustling noise. To make a long story short, it was a mouse. I either brought him home on my car or he just had ran in when I opened the garage. I chased him around a bit, he even ran into the engine compartment at one point. I then decided to use these traps which I picked up earlier on special.

I loaded it with peanut butter and put it where the mouse was last seen. 20 mins later it had sprung. One bad part was that it was hard to tell if the mouse was in it, because my mouse was very small and light. I had to compare the weight to the un-sprung trap.. I then put the trap in a zip lock bag and disposed of it.

But it does work.. I would say that the spring mechanism seems light and I was concerned that it wasn't enough force, but it is hard to tell because the trap spins when it is triggered..

Would I use these again? Yes, if you have a small/slight mouse problem. I would also get different types, since different mice might be inclined to enter one type of trap and not another.

Also, as far as reusability, well, this trap is not reusable, and if you want that type of trap, thats up to you. I personally think after a mouse dies in any trap, the other mice might smell "death" on the trap if you reuse it (Unless you're johnny on the spot and clear the trap right away)..
